BELLEHOUSE POLICIES

Thank you for choosing Bellehouse Dance Academy! Dance classes are both educational and fun, and a vital part of the experience is fostering discipline and respect for teachers and fellow students. By adhering to our studio policies, we can create an enjoyable and professional environment for all. Please review the following guidelines:

Tuition

• Due Date: Tuition is due on the 15th of each calendar month.

 

Dress Code

• A proper dress code ensures focus and professionalism:  

• A neat appearance reflects respect for instructors, fellow students, and the art of dance.  

• Hair must be secured and tied off the face and neck.  

• Jewelry should not be loose or dangling.  

• No gum chewing is allowed in the studio.  

 

Teachers must see the dancer's body outline clearly to provide corrections on posture and alignment.  ​

 

Withdrawal Policy

• Parents must complete a withdrawal form to officially withdraw a student.  

• Until withdrawal is confirmed, the student will be considered active, and parents will remain financially responsible for tuition and charges.

Tardiness and Absenteeism 

• Absences and tardiness disrupt class progress. Please notify us in advance if your child will be late or absent.

• Extended Absences: Notify the office if your child will be out due to illness or injury. If withdrawal is necessary, submit a withdrawal form before the next month.  

• Late Arrivals: Students arriving more than 15 minutes late will not participate in class but may watch and take notes for their safety. 

 

Behavior Policy

• Students who misbehave will receive a notification slip to be signed and returned by a parent.  

• Continued issues may result in removal from the class without a tuition refund.  

• Parental Support: A positive attitude is essential. Parents causing disruptions may result in dismissal of both the parent and dancer without a refund.  

 

Observation Policy

• To minimize distractions, parents are not allowed in ongoing classes or to peek through doors.  

• For concerns, please speak to a staff member, and the teacher will address them after class.  

 

Inclement Weather 

• Classes will be canceled if C.P.S.B. closes schools due to inclement weather.  

 

Additional Policies

• Arrival and Pickup: Be prompt.

• Prohibited in the Studio:  

1. Gum chewing  

2. Food and drink (water is allowed)

Property and Choreography:

•  Bellehouse Dance Academy is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.  

•  All choreography is the property of the academy and may not be used outside the studio without permission.

 

​Imagery: Photos and videos of students may be used by the academy for promotional purposes.  

​

Studio Access: No one is permitted in the dance space without an instructor present.  

​

Enrollment Changes: Parents must notify Bellehouse Dance Academy of any enrollment changes. Accounts will not be refunded if a dancer misses a month without prior notice.  

 

Bellehouse Dance Academy reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
